NICKEL COMICS #1-8 [1940] At a time when all comics were a dime, a nickel comic seemed like an ideal way to undercut the competition. With only half the pages the profit was still too small and the distributors refused to continue carrying the title. But, the title still left us with what would become the second most popular set of Fawcett characters after the Marvel Family: Bulletman and Bulletgirl
